2026 Kick Off Event | Persevere • Evolve • Build

January 23rd was a remarkable day for our team at the Elora Mill as we gathered under one roof to celebrate our 2026 Kick Off Event.

It was more than an afternoon together,  it was a moment to reflect, reset, and refocus as a team.

After a year that brought significant challenges to the housing industry, coming together at the beautiful Elora Mill felt especially meaningful. We reflected on the accomplishments of 2025, honored our people, and had open, honest conversations about what lies ahead.

Reflecting on 2025: A Year of Grit and Results

Despite one of the most uncertain housing markets in recent memory, our team delivered.

In 2025, we closed 478 new homes across Ontario — a remarkable achievement in a year defined by high interest rates, cautious buyers, delayed closings, and shifting economic conditions.

As President Ron McMillan reminded us: “AI didn’t build Lackner Ridge. AI didn’t build Sunrise Grove. You did.”

There were no shortcuts. No automation replacing dedication. It was our people, across land development, Construction, Sales, Design, Finance, Client Experience and beyond, alongside our trusted Trade Partners and Vendors who brought communities these life.

From Cobble Beach to Fergus, from mid-rise developments to bungalow towns, our team continued to show up with pride, passion, and grit

Years of Service: Honouring Commitment

One of the most meaningful parts of the day was our Years of Service Award Ceremony.

We proudly recognized team members who have dedicated years — and in many cases decades — to building not just homes, but a culture rooted in integrity, collaboration, and resilience.

Their leadership through multiple market cycles reminds us that while conditions change, our character does not.

As CFO Tim Strome shared, we are entering our 48th year in business, with a strong balance sheet, diversified operations, and deep credibility with our partners and lenders. That kind of longevity only happens because of the people in the room.

A Clear-Eyed View of the Market

Our Leadership Team spoke candidly about the realities of the current environment.

High mortgage renewals, persistent affordability challenges, cautious buyers, and broader economic uncertainty continue to impact the housing market

CEO and Owner Tim Blevins addressed this directly, acknowledging that this is one of the most difficult and uncertain market environments we’ve faced.

But he also reminded us: “This is a chapter, not the entire story.”

We are not standing still. We are:

  • Advancing projects strategically
  • Exploring purpose-built rental opportunities
  • Partnering with retirement operators
  • Meeting with municipal, provincial, and federal leaders
  • Positioning ourselves to move quickly when the market turns

We have product ready. We have financial strength. And most importantly — we have a proven team.

The Power of Team

One message echoed consistently throughout the afternoon: Team.

Tim shared a powerful analogy from football,  that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Success isn’t about one heroic play or one individual; it’s about collective effort

That truth applies directly to us.

And in perhaps the most powerful reminder of the day, he said: “The best land and the best location is of no value to our company without a team to envision it, design it, develop it, market it, sell it and build it. Without you, it remains a vacant piece of land.” That statement captures exactly who we are.

Persevere • Evolve • Build

Our 2026 theme is not accidental.

Persevere

We understand that we do not “win” a correction.
We outlast it.
We stay disciplined.
We support one another.

Evolve

We adapt product types.
We diversify investments.
We refine our processes.
Persevering without evolving is stubbornness.
Evolving without perseverance is instability.

We will do both.

Build

Not just homes.
We build confidence.
We build relationships.
We build trust with partners and homeowners.
We build each other up.

A United 2026

Showcasing a strong sense of unity, our team left the Elora Mill energized and aligned. The engagement, the conversations, and the honesty of the day reinforced what makes us strong.

We are positioned.
We are prepared.
And we are ready.

A heartfelt thank you to our leadership — Tim Blevins, Tim Strome, and Ron McMillan — for their transparency, encouragement, and steady guidance.

And thank you to every team member who continues to show up, deliver excellence, and believe in what we’re building together.

Here’s to persevering, evolving, and continuing to build in 2026.
