A Year of Building More Than Homes

At Reid’s Heritage Homes, every year brings new milestones, new memories, and new opportunities to make a difference. This past year was no exception. From exciting progress within our communities to meaningful moments of giving back, it was a year that reminded us why we do what we do — and who we do it for.

Looking back, one thing is clear: this year wasn’t defined by a single highlight. Instead, it was shaped by many moments, big and small, that together tell a powerful story of community, connection, and purpose.

Giving Back — Every Moment Mattered

Giving back has always been part of our DNA at Reid’s Heritage Homes. It’s not something we check off a list — it’s something we genuinely care about. This year gave us countless opportunities to support the communities we live and build in, and each one reinforced why this work matters so much.

One moment that stayed with us was delivering the final $100,000 cheque to Guelph General Hospital, completing our commitment to the hospital’s newly built Mental Health Unit. It was a proud milestone for our team and one that reflects our ongoing focus on mental health — especially for children and families. We believe strong, resilient communities begin with access to care, compassion, and support.

“What we build goes far beyond bricks and mortar — it’s about people, purpose, and community.”

That same sense of purpose carried into our time volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, where our team rolled up their sleeves and worked side by side to help build safe, affordable housing. Being on site and contributing in a hands-on way was a powerful reminder of the impact that comes from simply showing up together.

We were also honoured to support Hope House, donating backpacks and school supplies and volunteering our time to pack essential items for individuals and families facing hardship. These moments were humbling and reinforced that even small acts of kindness can create meaningful change.

In addition, we were proud to make a $10,000 donation to the Wellington County Food Bank, helping ensure families across our region have access to food and essential resources when they need them most.

“Sometimes the most meaningful impact comes from simply showing up — together.”

Honouring Legacy & Creating Hope

Community has always been at the heart of Reid’s Heritage Homes, and that spirit truly comes to life each year through the Orin Reid Memorial Golf Tournament. With the incredible support of our sponsors, golfers, and community partners, we raised over $125,000 this year in support of the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Guelph General Hospital.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who helps make this day so special — our generous sponsors, dedicated golfers, volunteers, and the wider community that continues to show up year after year. A heartfelt thank you also goes to our hosts at Westmount Golf & Country Club, whose hospitality and attention to detail turn the tournament into a truly memorable experience. We can’t wait to do it again with all of you in 2026 — save the date: August 10.

Through this collective effort, we were proud to contribute $75,000 to Make-A-Wish, helping grant life-changing wishes and create unforgettable moments for children and their families.

Our support for Make-A-Wish continued throughout the year, including our participation in Trees of Joy — a heartfelt initiative that brings light, magic, and joy to one special child and her family during the holiday season.

We also introduced something a little different this year by donating our Guelph Storm box seats to local children’s charities, giving families the opportunity to enjoy special experiences and moments of joy they may not otherwise have access to.

“Honouring legacy while creating hope for the future is at the core of who we are.”

Building Communities Across Southwestern Ontario

This year also brought exciting progress across our communities. We celebrated important groundbreakings at Modal at Main and Argyle Village, each marking the beginning of new neighbourhoods where families will soon put down roots.

“Every groundbreaking marks the beginning of something meaningful.”

We were proud to welcome families home at Lackner Ridge and Sunrise Grove — moments that never get old and always remind us why this work is so meaningful.

“There is nothing more rewarding than welcoming families home.”

Another major milestone was the completion of Viva Towns, a vibrant community brought to life through collaboration, care, and the dedication of our teams as we worked diligently to deliver the best possible product to Polocorp.

Looking Ahead

As we reflect on the year behind us, we’re incredibly proud of what we accomplished together — our team, our partners, and the communities we serve. From giving back and volunteering to building and welcoming families home, this year was a true reflection of our values in action.

“We don’t just build homes — we build lasting impact.”

We’re grateful to everyone who was part of this journey and look forward to continuing to build strong, connected communities — together.
